Copy the condition required by your approved specification. For age-hardenable material, identify whether final treatment happens before supply or after machining.
Surface and allowance
Describe the required surface and machining allowance. A finish request requires feasibility review; a photograph does not define surface acceptance.
Straightness and final tolerances
Separate incoming-stock requirements from finished-part requirements. In particular, a shaft runout requirement is not an incoming-bar straightness statement.
Final acceptance
Use the agreed product specification and actual batch results. Typical literature values are not a guarantee for the supplied condition.
