03 / A COMPLETE STOCK REQUIREMENT

Specify the Bar You Need

Dimensions by solid-section form
Round barsDiameter × length. Include diameter tolerance, straightness and cutting allowance.
Square barsSide length × length. Include corner requirements and straightness.
Flat barsThickness × width × length. Specify thickness/width tolerances, flatness and edge requirements independently.
Hexagonal barsAcross flats (AF) × length. Include AF tolerance and corner requirements; across corners is a different dimension.
Forging barsDiameter × length. Specify the forged route, machining allowance, condition and inspection requirements.

Heat treatment & surface

Identify annealed, solution-treated or aged condition as required by your approved specification. Request the surface finish and machining allowance separately; a bright surface does not establish a heat-treatment condition.

General supply references

Our general round-bar range is 1–300 mm in diameter, with a reference minimum order of 100 kg and lead time of 40 days. Availability and delivery are confirmed for the grade, dimensions, condition and quantity in your quotation.

Non-round and forged-bar dimensions and grade combinations require separate feasibility review.

04 / STANDARDS & QUALITY DOCUMENTS

Bar Standards, Testing
& Documentation

Define the material specification, inspection requirements and release documents together when you enquire.

Inspection requirements

Agree the test methods, sampling and acceptance criteria for the ordered material.

  • Chemical analysis and heat identification
  • Mechanical tests in the specified condition
  • Dimensions, straightness and surface checks
  • Additional examination or witness points

03

Material documents

Specify the certificate type and how reports must connect to the supplied heat or lot.

  • EN 10204 Type 3.1 or 3.2, where requested and agreed
  • Required test reports and material identification
  • Third-party arrangements reviewed before production
Prepare your document requirements →

ASTM / ASME

Use the specification for the purchased alloy and product form.

IGC

If intergranular corrosion testing is required, define the method and acceptance criteria.

NACE

Provide the document, edition, material condition and service requirements.

API

Identify the applicable project or equipment specification and material clauses.

Requirements are confirmed for each order. ISO 9001 certification and CNAS laboratory accreditation have their own scopes; they do not replace batch inspection documents. IGC is not listed in the supplied CNAS schedule.

06 / PROCUREMENT QUESTIONS

Ordering Nickel Alloy Bars

Can I order every listed grade in every shape?

Our catalogue focuses on round bars. Square, flat, hexagonal and forging-bar supply must be reviewed for the specific alloy, dimensions, condition and production route.

Are the website values guaranteed for my batch?

No. Material literature, specification limits and actual batch results serve different purposes. The agreed purchase requirements and supplied quality documents govern the order.

Do you supply finished shafts, valves or fasteners?

This site focuses on raw bars and solid sections. If you need finished components, identify that scope explicitly for a separate capability review.

Can I request a grade that is not listed?

Send the alloy designation, composition or material specification, shape and quantity. A special designation requires review and is not treated as confirmed stock.

How do I request a quotation?

Email your specification and drawing to sales09@nichromalloy.com. You can use the Contact page to prepare an enquiry summary; the form does not send it automatically.
